AVICC will be holding an on-line election for positions on the AVICC Executive, and will announce the results at the May 28th Virtual AGM. A package with the nomination forms and background information for candidates is available at the link below. The deadline to submit the nomination is March 26th.
Candidates must be elected officials of a member AVICC local government, and must be nominated by two elected officials of a member AVICC local government. Background information on the key responsibilities and commitments of an AVICC Executive member is provided in the package. Normally the Executive election would be held in April during AVICC’s AGM and Convention. In 2020 the election was held on September 22nd at the AGM during the UBCM convention. Since that election was held later in the year than usual, the current Executive will have served 8 months out of the usual 12-month term by May. The next election is then scheduled to be held April 1-3, 2022.
