Welcome to Nanaimo!

The 2025 AVICC AGM & Convention will be held in Nanaimo from Friday April 11 to Sunday April 13 at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. The City of Nanaimo and the Regional District of Nanaimo will be our hosts, and we thank them for supporting the association.

AVICC is honoured to gather on the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, the Qualicum First Nation, and the Snaw-naw-as (Nanoose) First Nation for the upcoming convention, and we look forward to their involvement throughout.

Hotel Information

Hotel blocks have been set up at hotels near the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.  Further information and booking links are coming soon!

Registration

Registration for the 2025 convention will be available through CivicInfo in February 2025.  The convention brochure with information on the pre-convention sessions, study tours, social events and convention logistics will be available when registration opens.

Program

The convention program with detailed information on the schedule, sessions, study tours, social events and convention logistics will be available in March, 2025.

Convention Materials

The 2025 Annual Report and Resolutions Package to be considered at the AGM & Convention will be sent out two weeks prior to the event.

Other Information

The AVICC Executive is pleased to present a wide variety of informative sessions for delegates each year. If you would like to suggest a session for next year’s convention, please email info@avicc.ca for more information.  The sessions will be confirmed at the December 2024 and January 2025 Executive meetings. 

AVICC plans to source the food and beverage served at the convention from Island Good suppliers whenever possible.
