2025 Convention Sponsors

Welcome to Victoria
The 2026 AVICC AGM & Convention will be held in Victoria from Friday April 24 to Sunday April 26 at the Victoria Conference Centre. The City of Victoria was our host, and we thank them for supporting the Association. Information about activities in Victoria is available at Tourism Victoria.
AVICC is grateful to be guests in the lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Songhees Nation and the Xʷsepsum (Esquimalt) Nation, who have a long-standing relationship with the land and waters since time immemorial that continues to this day.
The City of Colwood, Township of Esquimalt, District of Saanich, and District of Metchosin have contributed both financially and in-kind, offering recommendations and resources to help enrich our programming. On behalf of AVICC, I extend my sincere appreciation to these organizations for their generous support in welcoming our members to their community.
The 2026 Convention marks AVICC’s 77th year of representing local government on Vancouver Island and in Coastal Communities. We are grateful to those who are able to join us in Victoria in April!

Program & Brochure
The Convention Program containing more detailed information about the sessions and programming will be available in late-March, 2026.
The AVICC Executive is enthusiastic about the diverse range of sessions planned for the event. We are privileged to welcome Shachi Kurl as our keynote speaker. With double the number of session proposals, this year’s program will showcase a wide range of expertise. Based on member feedback, the Saturday Banquet has been redesigned for broader appeal, and accessibility improvements include hearing-assist technology and a quiet room for low-stimulus needs.
Thank you to those who submitted session proposals – the deadline is now closed.
