At their April 22nd meeting the AVICC Executive Committee reviewed a letter sent by a large number of AVICC mayors and RD chairs to Dr. Bonnie Henry regarding non-essential travel on BC Ferries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Executive resolved to send a letter to Dr. Henry echoing the concerns expressed by community leaders, and asking for increased messaging from her office asking visitors not to travel to Vancouver Island for non-essential purposes.
