Masks and vaccine proof at convention

The brochure for the 2022 convention listed the AVICC’s policy on vaccine and masks as follows:

Please be advised that to protect the health and safety of staff and attendees, AVICC will adhere to the orders of the Provincial Health Officer that currently require all attendees to be fully vaccinated to attend this event. Delegates will be asked to show proof of vaccination (photo identification and vaccine card) at the registration desk on site. Masking requirements will be based on the Provincial Health Officer’s orders in place at the time of the convention.

Dr. Bonnie Henry announced March 10th that masks will no longer be required from March 11th on, and proof of vaccine will continue to be required until April 8th. AVICC will operate consistently with Dr. Henry’s orders.

Sad news. Anne Fiddick, the former Mayor of the Village of Gold River and AVICC life member has recently passed. She served as Mayor from 1978 to 1996 and as Alderman from 1973 to 1978. She was designated a life member of AVICC (1981-82).
