The AVICC Executive is putting out a first call for resolutions to be considered at the 2026 convention. The convention is being planned as an in-person event to be held April 24-26 in Victoria at the Victoria Conference Centre. AVICC members may now submit Board or Council endorsed resolutions following the requirements outlined in the attached call for resolutions.
The deadline for resolutions is 4:30 p.m. on Thursday February 12, 2026. Please follow the guidelines to ensure resolutions are submitted that provide AVICC and/or UBCM with clear policy direction for advocacy. Sending in resolutions well ahead of the deadline is strongly encouraged to allow time for AVICC to review submissions with the sponsoring local government.

At the 2025 UBCM Convention, members endorsed ER1: Extraordinary Resolution to Amend the UBCM Bylaws to Streamline the Resolutions Process. The changes to UBCM’s Bylaws will impact how resolutions endorsed at AVICC are considered after they are sent to the UBCM Resolutions Committee.
