Welcome to Victoria

The 2026 AVICC AGM & Convention will be held in Victoria from Friday April 24 to Sunday April 26 at the Victoria Conference Centre. The City of Victoria was our host, and we thank them for supporting the Association. Information about activities in Victoria is available at Tourism Victoria. 

AVICC is grateful to be guests in the lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the  Songhees Nation and the Xʷsepsum (Esquimalt) Nation, who have a long-standing relationship with the land and waters since time immemorial that continues to this day.

The 2026 Convention marks AVICC’s 77th year of representing local government on Vancouver Island and in Coastal Communities.  We are grateful to those who are able to join us in Victoria in April!

Resolutions

The AVICC Executive will put the call out for resolutions to be considered at the 2026 Convention in Late October – an email will be sent to all members, and information will be posted on our website.
Nominations
The AVICC Executive will put the call out for nominations for elected officials to serve on the 2026/27 AVICC Executive Committee in Late October via email.

Accommodations

AVICC will set up accommodation blocks at preferred rates with three of the hotels closest to the Victoria Conference Centre – information and links will be available later in the summer.
