The AVICC Executive is putting out a first call for resolutions to be considered at the 2027 convention. The convention is being planned as an in-person event to be held April 16-18 in Nanaimo at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. AVICC members may now submit Board or Council endorsed resolutions following the requirements outlined in the attached call for resolutions.
The deadline for resolutions is 4:30pm on Thursday February 4, 2027. Please follow the guidelines to ensure resolutions are submitted that provide AVICC and/or UBCM with clear policy direction for advocacy. Sending in resolutions well ahead of the deadline is strongly encouraged to allow time for AVICC to review submissions with the sponsoring local government.
To submit a resolution to the AVICC for consideration please send a copy of the resolution as a WORD DOCUMENT by email to info@avicc.ca by the deadline. Each resolution must include a separate backgrounder that is a maximum of 3 pages and specific to a single resolution.
